"Look deep into nature and you will understand everything better" - Albert Einstein. After taking the thrilling Tram ride up to High Camp, hikers will begin a 3-mile loop up to Emigrant Peak. Along the way, seasonal flora and fauna will be discussed, as well as interesting local ski lore and stories. Hikers will also learn about Tahoe's "Gentleman Jailer" Robert Watson whose positive forward thinking still impacts Lake Tahoe today. Amazing photo opportunities are available at the historic Watson Monument, as well as panoramic views of the Sierra Nevadas on top of Emigrant Peak. Look deep within yourself as you contend with Mother Nature and her unpredictable forces on top of Squaw Valley!
