Experience the scenic and beautiful Lake Tahoe shoreline from the unique perspective of a kayak.

An excellent trip from our beachfront location in Tahoe Vista, Ca. After an introductory lesson, we head out on the water for a paddle. We point out ecology, geology and other natural and human history along the way. Paddle along the coast of King's Beach, among the boulders of Crystal Bay and along scenic coastline while getting a unique glimpse of some of Tahoe's most beautiful waterfront homes.

Tour includes kayak, paddle, PFD, knowledgeable guide, instruction, natural and human history discussions, permit fees, snacks.

Typical Distance and Time: 3-6 miles.
Level of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate.

Meet at: The Harbor Meeting Point, Building 5 Lobby
Please arrive at meeting point at least 15 minutes early!

What you will need ~ Required Items
1 Quart Nalgene or other water bottle
Sun Screen (SPF 30 or higher)
A hat with a brim
Sunglasses with a neck strap such as "Chums" or "Croakies". Your glasses may get lost without a neck strap.
Wet shoes such as "Tevas" or "Aqua Socks" or an old pair of "tennies"; you may be walking on rocky beaches and in the water.
Swim suit or swim trunks
Sweatshirt, fleece jacket or sweater and a dry change of clothes
A beach towel


Recommended Items
Waterproof camera (recyclable)
Polypropylene/ "Capilene" or other synthetic clothing (layering).
Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes
